The Alamo

I whacked off Caroline's hair a little shorter than I meant to! Now I'm glad I cut it that short (a little above chin length) it is a snap to brush! Before she would cry, run and put her hands over her hair, now it's brushed before she runs away!

I picked up a children's book about Davey Crockett from the library about a week ago. David had been reading to us every night out of it. He finished reading on Sunday night, so Monday afternoon we went to the Alamo. Olivia absolutely loved it! We got to see Davey Crockett's rifle and a log from his old home in Tennesse. It was awesome to be there where men fought knowing the outcome was not in their favor, but fighting anyway. It brings tears to my eyes!

I guess I really didn't know you lived so close to San Antonio. I love that area everything is sooooo green and NOT flat like it is here. Sounds like you had a great little get away! MOTIVATION is what I need. Thanks. U keep it up too. We were suppost to go this morning, but a little snow storm came in at about 2-3am and We didn't want to brave the messy cold snow and ice. But tomorrow we're on!
